Reminscing of the Weekend - How was your weekend OPPO?

Well I had a pretty damn good weekend.

Took the Montego to a Cars & Coffee with some OPPO's (as seen below)

(man it looks rough in this pic lol)

Got some work done around the house, including assembling my new fire pit (rain kept it's usage delayed) and even enjoyed my favorite not too expensive Bourbon - as seen below:

Highly recommended.

There was a car show at a local festival that I stopped by after it rained all morning. Took this pic that doesn't quite fit in with the others, because BIG ASS PONTIAC.

Besides our awesome cars and coffee experience, I had some Old Crow Whiskey which is harsh but tasty and cheap. And i got to see my family which is also a plus. Also yesterday was my Dad's one year smoke free aniversary after the massive heart attack he had a year ago.

Went to the CO mountains on Saturday. The aspens are starting to turn and were just lovely. They'll probably be at their peak in 5 to 7 days.

Nice! Was this on a hike or offroading the little Escape?

Also, if you remember that all black GT I snagged a pic of on the highway a week or two ago, we saw it at the Cars and Coffee event this weekend. I even checked the plates to make sure it was the same one, small world!

Was at a "stance" car show yesterday. It's not really my scene, but my friends have a business and were there as a vendor selling stickers. So I go to help them out.

Was cold and kept spitting rain.

And then our pop-up tent went airborn on a very strong, sudden wind gust. It was held down with 60 lbs of weight, which apparently wasn't enough. I grabbed a leg as it almost hit me, but it still attacked the FR-S that was parked right next to it. He's looking at needing a new hood, headlights, and some paint work.

friday was gin and tonic roughly 2 mickies worth to me..Saturday was um....what was it...liquid cocaine shots and more G/T - sunday was a nice day..12 beers over 12 hrs of football.

Not only that, he's had the car a month.

My car was next to him, but wasn't hit.

The show was in Milwaukee. Was suppose to be like a 40% chance of showers in the afternoon. It sprinkled on and off the entire day.

I swapped out the heater core on the Volvo, and in the process, found out that although the carpets appeared dry, that the rubber backing was hiding a foam underlay that was sodden with coolant. Spending the best part of an afternoon splashing about in a footwell full of antifreeze isn't entirely fun, but at least it wasn't too tough a job – with a bit of acrobatics, you can do it with the dash and most of the trim in place. The carpets and underlay are hanging out on the washing line to dry – hopefully, the damage isn't too bad.

I also finally got around to fixing the headlamp washers, and changed the cabin filter, which looked as though it had never been done in the car's life. All in all, a good day's work, finished off with a rather lovely single malt.

nope ...33...cant drink hard anymore...had one too many bad booze trips so i stick to the light weights now..plus when youre a russian and a canadian like me - drinking can be a super pricey hobby on weekends.

Haha, I typically mix my whiskey, though I did have a touch of the Big House Bourbon on the rocks this weekend.

And this stuff is 5 bucks cheaper a bottle than JD and drastically better if you ask me.

I'm on the other side of the Continental Divide in Southern Colorado. The Telluride area is beautiful, and, of course, so is Aspen.

Well we have definitely enjoyed living there. Hopefully, the whole family will be in Telluride for Thanksgiving this year but we still have to coordinate getting everyone there.

Your neck of the woods isn't so bad either. The wife and I love Durango.
